  • ✔ Net Control 2 mobile clients for Android provide access to a large number of features and functions of the Net Control 2 Classroom computer classroom management system on devices running the Android operating system, creating a cross-platform environment in which you can simultaneously use computers and devices running the Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS operating systems, various Linux systems, and tablets running Android.
  • ✔ The Android mobile client is optimized for use on tablets, as it requires more screen space to display information than smartphones offer, but can be used on both smartphones and other Android devices if necessary.
  • ✔ Mobile clients are designed to organize interaction between the teacher and students, contain various teaching and communication tools, including messaging, file transfer and exchange, providing polls, quizzes, displaying screen broadcasts, and other features. At the same time, due to the limitations of the Android platform on interprocess co-operation, the functions of monitoring, remote control, application and device access restrictions are not supported by mobile clients.

Show

Allows you to display the broadcast of the teacher's screen, the student can see the explanation of the material from the teacher's computer screen in real time.

Polls

Using polls, the teacher can receive an instant assessment of the class knowledge, and detailed statistics on answers to questions, both for the class as a whole and for each individual student. The mobile client supports all the poll tool functionality on Android devices.

Messages

Teachers can display messages on student devices that contain text, any graphics, including screenshots, with the ability to simultaneously play sounds and music, pronounce the displayed text with speech. The latter features can also be played in the background, without displaying text.

File transfer

The mobile client offers extensive capabilities for transferring files between the teacher computer and student tablets, significantly simplifying the process of exchanging files in the local network between different platforms. You can send files to students using lists, collect them back sorted by sender, use the file manager.

Quizzes

With the mobile client you can display tests and quizzes on student tablets, prepared with the Quiz Constructor program, included with the teacher module installation; quizzes can contain an arbitrary number of questions and various types of answers.

Chat

Students can access a multifunctional chat, initiated by the teacher for different groups of students. The chat can display formatted text, supports file attachments, images, screenshots of the teacher's screen, and hand-drawn drawings.

Feedback

Using the mobile client, a student can attract the teacher's attention by sending a help request or by "raising his hand" to indicate that an answer is ready; the teacher, for his part, can control the order of answers.

Virtual whiteboard

Using the virtual whiteboard, a teacher can explain the material to students, drawing by hand as on a regular school board, or using graphic primitives or images; display any images on the background. The mobile client allows both displaying the whiteboard edited by the teacher and participating in editing, when such an operation is authorized by the teacher.

  • Display the lesson resources prepared for the lesson by the teacher, as a set of lesson or material descriptions, links to local files and external web resources, links to applications.
  • When student tablets are configured to use the teacher computer as a web proxy, the teacher can apply web restrictions, enabling or forbidding access to websites using white- or blacklists.
  • Use the Co-Browse tool for shared use of the Internet: all pages that the teacher opens in the teacher module's browser, are opened simultaneously on the student tablets in the built-in browser of the mobile client.
  • The Co-Play tool can be used for synchronous playback of video and audio materials on the teacher computer and student devices.
  • Using the Student Registration tool, the teacher can ask students to enter informtation to register them in the class journal.
  • Displaying the grades given in the lesson.
  • Displaying the rewards - gold, silver and bronze stars received in the lesson.
  • Displaying various timers configurable by the teacher.
  • Program Manager: the teacher can launch applications installed on student tablets from his/her computer; open links or documents.
  • The Quick Run tool: the teacher can create shortcuts to Android applications in the teacher console to launch them on all devices in the class in a few clicks.
  • The Auto-collect folder support: all files saved by a student to a specific folder on the device (the auto-collect folder) will be automatically sent to the teacher, with sorting by student names.
  • Support for both pre-set connections to teachers in the mobile client settings, and for dynamic connections when students connect teachers by selecting them from a list or using the built-in self registration mechanism.
  • Playback DRR screen recordings prepared by the teacher.

Operating system

Android 9.0 and above. Earlier versions of Android are supported by previous versions of packages, contact us for more information.

Network

Wired or wireless local network, 100 Mbit/sec and higher. We recommend that teachers and students be connected to the same router or access point.

Bandwidth

0.005-0.2 MBit/s per client: low-traffic operations - 0.01 MBit/s; direct full-screen control with keyboard and mouse - 0.2 MBit/s; broadcast teacher's screen to students - 0.15 MBit/s either for all recipients (Multicast is supported) or per client.

Hardware

The vast majority of modern processors are supported. The ARM Cortex-A, ARM64 (64 bit) architecture, NEON and GPU are required. We recommend 4 GB of RAM or higher. The recommended minimum screen resolution is 1920x1080.

Software environment

The mobile client package is distributed as an APK file that should be downloaded from the customer panel. The tablet settings must allow installation of packages from outside the Google Play or other online stores.

Disk space

300 MBytes of free disk space for the software. Extra disk space may be necessary for user files (quizzes, desktop records etc.)

Volume licenses include installation of teacher and student components in any combination on the specified number of computers. Volume discounts are applied on a per-order basis.

To use in a classroom, you need to purchase an Instructor license for each teacher computer and a number of User licenses corresponding to the number of tablets in the classroom. The teacher module can be run on desktop systems only (Windows, macOS, Linux).
